The Bloomington Babycakes began their franchise history in spring 2021, prior to the beginning of the Bloomington Athletic Association's high school baseball summer season where they played other teams from Bloomington, as well as clubs from surrounding towns. The team had a few unique aspects in that both coaches were players who stepped in to lead the team and that the roster was mostly comprised of fellas from Bloomington Jefferson High School. The Cakes had an up and down season, finishing at .500 with a 6-6 record. However, the team had a well-fueled playoff run that saw them place 3rd in the league, barely missing out on a chance to play in the championship game. With Coach Max Everett, several returning players, and many new additions, the club aims to continue the Babycake tradition of fun and enjoyable Sundays playing with balls in the TCMABL's 18+ conference.
